Goal:

For my work and myself, I wanted a small logo. So, I started ideating and experimenting with blocked negative spaces, which is where I found myself at the beginning of this design.

It started as an idea on Procreate, using a grid and trying to create figures that somehow represent me, relate to me, or my name. That’s why I chose to experiment with the F and H. As you can see in the first design below, I then inverted the colors—so instead of having the FH in color, the background became colored. After that, it seemed fun to remove the border that had been created and focus on what was left, which I feel resembles 'A!,' completing the FHA in my name, Fuhua.
